Monde Kula is a Social Activist and Community Development Practitioner based in Khayelitsha, South Africa. He advocates for Social Justice, Gender Equality, and the upliftment of disadvantaged communities. He was a Youth Worker with Inkululeko in Mind before furthering his academic studies by enrolling in the TFT Diploma course. He is currently completing his Bachelor of Honours in Transformational Leadership with Arrupe Jesuit University, Zimbabwe. Monde is a Facilitator with the TFT Youth Training (2020-2022).

Nqobile Masuku is a Project Coordinator, Organizer, and Workshop Facilitator with Women’s Leadership and Training Programme (WLTP) in Kwazulu Natal. WLTPs work focuses on girls and young women’s empowerment to enable them to realize their leadership potential and develop their lives and that of their communities. Nqobile’s areas of interest are Spirituality, Indigenous Knowledge, Gender, Agroecology, and Biodiversity. In 2021, she received a Catherine of Siena Appreciation Award for Social Development from Sisters for Justice (A Women’s and Children’s Rights organisation based in Kenya). Nqobile is a TFT Youth Training Facilitator (2021).
South Africa

Shula Mafokoane is a Senior Project Officer at Nkuzi Development Association, a Land Rights organisation with offices in Polokwane and works throughout the Limpopo province. Her key focus is on Women’s Land Rights, Post-settlement support, and Land Acquisition. Shula regards herself as a dynamic and enterprising Development Practitioner, who is multi-skilled in areas of Project Management, Training and Facilitation, Office Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Subgrants Management. She has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Shula is a Board member and has been facilitating numerous TFT trainings and courses since 2017. Her academic background includes a BA degree in Social Sciences.
Zimbabwe

Antony Sungisayi joined Popular and Adult Education in 2004. He acquired a Bachelor’s degree in 2010, and a certificate in Project Management in the same year. He completed the TFT Introductory Training, Certificate Training, and Diploma Course in Kleinmond, South Africa, and participated in Thinkwells in Tanzania and South Africa where TFT Curricula were developed. He was involved in the facilitation of Certificate Courses for the Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace Coordinators and Officers in Zimbabwe and facilitates TFT Youth Introduction Trainings (2020-2022). Antony works with the Africa Book Development Organisation as the Lead Facilitator of the Training Department which engages with women, girls, and communities in 7 Districts in Zimbabwe.

Caroline Mutimbanyoka is a Human Rights Activist, Feminist, Facilitator, and Community Development Pan Africanist Educator who has sought to amplify the voices of women and girls throughout her career. She participated in the TFT Diploma course and is now a Facilitator for TFT Youth Trainings (2020-2022). Caroline is the founder of Sprout Women Empowerment Trust, a community-based organization that has become a voice for underprivileged women in peri-urban and rural areas in Zimbabwe. In her work, she has continued to advocate for Women’s Rights, Social Service delivery, and Food Justice to uplift women and girls from poverty, enhance their livelihoods, and better their communities.

Dino Adventino Lázaro is a Youth Project Coordinator in Beira, Tete Mozambique. He is also collaborating with Caravan of Hope on Climate Issues. He started with Community Development work in 2015 volunteering and working for several organizations where he established Peace Clubs and facilitated workshops on Gender and Land issues. He was a collaborator with the Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of Beira and the Aqua Healing and Counseling Project in Zimbabwe where he used Aqua Healing, a group therapy process that brings healing to persons who have suffered trauma. Dino completed his postgraduate level studies in Metrology of Teaching and Learning at the Faculty of Education Sciences. He is a TFT Youth Training Facilitator (2020-2021).

Sonia Carlos M’mana Magaia is one of the founder members of Sineirgia Mozambique, a Social Work organisation focused on Community Transformative Development. She works as the Country Coordinator for a Community Development Programme where she plans, manages, and evaluates training in Human Rights and Advocacy for Health programmes in the communities and fights against drug abuse among youth from the School’s programme. Sonia facilitates TFT Youth and Diploma Trainings (2020-2022). She is interested in growing academically and professionally with the aim of acquiring skills and techniques in the areas of Programme Management and Facilitation.

Naftal Xavier Guambe is a United Methodist Church Clergyman. He is a Senior Facilitator with TFT in Practice facilitating Local and International Introduction Trainings and Diploma Courses. His religious background and practice allow him to live out his spiritual values in his facilitation processes. One of his key areas of interest is the Political Economy of the Environment. Naftal has used the TFT approach in his social activism in Mozambique, Togo, and Benin and has developed and co-created tools to be used in TFT trainings, including the Critical Reading of State Budget and Powerful Gender Objects published in the Training for Transformation Manual V.

Mable Sichali is a Deaconess in the United Church of Zambia (UCZ), the Community Development and Social Justice Secretary at Synod Level, and the first Deaconess as a Senior Manager in UCZ. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and she is a Board member of ZITUKULE Consortium, a member of World and Zambia without Orphans, a member of Scope Zambia, an Organic and Food Forest Farmer advocating for seed sovereignty, and a member of Inspire Child Protection Committee under World Council of Churches (WCC). She is also a Trainer in Child Safeguarding and Protection, Self-help, and Village Banking Concept, in Food and Nutrition SUN, as well as in Sexual Reproductive Health for youths and adolescents. She is a member of the World Diaconia Federation Justice Committee, representing the African Region. Mable facilitates TFT Youth Trainings (2020 – 2022).

Misheck Jonazi works with the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) as a Diaconal Worker, providing service to the church and the community. He is passionate about Youth Development which teaches young people critical thinking skills and encourages further learning and entrepreneurship. Misheck advocates for Social Justice in church and the community and believes in allowing the voiceless to be heard. He has a certificate in Diaconal Ministry from the UCZ University in Kitwe, is trained in Conflict Management, and holds certificates in Leadership, Psycho-social Counseling, and Worship and Preaching. Misheck is a Facilitator for TFT Youth Trainings (2020-2022).

Arestina Gerald is a Catholic Nun, Community Manager, Teacher, and Counsellor from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She has engaged with youth from Woisso Original Product (WOP), church, and school on Personal Self-mastery, Religion, and Entrepreneurship. She was also appointed over a group of sisters and took up the leadership position with confidence, leading with love and by example. Her core strengths include Social Networking, Public Relations, Graphic design, and strong Communication skills. Arestina is one of the Facilitators of the TFT Youth Trainings (2020-2022).

Moureen Wagubi, is the Executive Director of Institute for Social Transformation (IST) a Women’s Rights Organisation empowering women in the informal sector in various districts of Uganda. She provides strategic leadership for all the organisational activities that focus on empowering women and young girls through capacity building, advocating for change, and policy influence. Moureen has served in the NGO environment for over 10 years and has a wide range of experience in managing Developmental programmes, Programme planning, design, and management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, and a postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute. Moureen is a TFT Youth Training facilitator (2020-2022).

Sylivia Kyomuhendo is a Gender and Human Rights Advocate currently working with the Institute for Social Transformation (IST) as a Programme/Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. She is a TFT Youth Training Facilitator (2021-2022) who is deeply passionate about Gender and Social Justice issues, particularly the well-being of women, girls/ children, and people living at the margins of society. With over 10 years of experience in Development Work, she has largely worked with grassroots, regional, and national level CSOs and started the Founding of Rural Girls Initiative Uganda. Sylivia Kyomuhendo holds a Degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, a Diploma in Education Secondary (DES) of Kyambogo University, a postgraduate Certificate in Research Methods & Writing Skills from the Centre for Basic Research, and a Certificate in Administrative Law from Law Development Centre in Uganda.

Josephine Kasande is an advocate for Women’s Rights, Natural Resources and Livelihood, and Gender programming and Practice with over 15 years of experience as a Trainer, Coach, and Mentor. She is an alumnus of TFT, the Kimmage Development Studies Centre, Dublin Ireland, and the Stanford Global Water Programme on Systems Training who believes, and practices Social, Economic, and Gender Justice. As a Coach, she has mentored and coached over 50 young women and has mentored over 20 rural women’s organisations in Uganda. As a Trainer her practice is grounded in feminist thinking and ideologies of Gender Equality and Natural Resource Management and her practice is a combination of participatory methodologies including: the (TFT) methodology, The Development Education Leadership Training in Action (DELTA), the Gender Action Learning systems, the Financial Action Learning Systems (FALS) and the Systems Training for Root cause analysis (STAR). She is a core team member and Facilitator for TFT.

Regina Akullu is a Learning and Impact Coordinator for Action Aid Uganda and the Chairperson of Positive Hope Uganda. She is a Human Rights Activist, Feminist, and Transformative Leadership Trainer who is passionate about the rights of women and girls, women empowerment, and building the resilience of young people to fight injustices around them. Her employment history includes being Programme Manager of the Institute for Social Transformation (IST), Senior Community Development Officer (Gender) for the Agago District Local Government, and Project Assistant with Youth Social Works Association. She holds a Master’s degree in Local Governance and Human Rights, Bachelor’s in Development Studies, and postgraduate Diplomas in Development Education, Public Administration, Peace and Strategic Studies. Agnes Uwamahoro is the CEO of B5CD Ltd, a company doing Poultry Farming and Farmers Trainings. She is a Co-founder of Association pour le Development et la Transformation Sociale( ADTS) in 1998. From 2009, she was a Cooperative and Farmers Capacity Building Officer of CARITAS Rwanda in Food Security Program. She’s Co-founder member of Rwanda Poultry Industry Association (RPIA) in 2019. Agnes is a Livestock-Farmer Field School (L-FFS) Facilitator in Poultry & Adult Education Approach who is advanced in French and fluent in Kinyarwanda. She organizes and facilitates trainings using the TFT approach in collaboration with Catholic Church and Local NGOs in the following programs: Community Development, Peace building, Social Justice, Gender and Food Security. Agnes holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology; graduates in TFT ; Diploma in Development and Education.

Chrisserie Niyonsenga is a Sustainable Community Development Programme Officer at The Association pour le Développementet la Transformation Sociale (ADTS) in Rwanda. She has experience in Adult Training and Facilitation and mentoring of trainers. She has trained local leaders, women leaders, NGO staff members, youth leaders, cooperatives, association members, church members, and couples. She has developed different training tools, manuals, modules, and books with different themes and topics. Chrisserie has a background in Education, Development, and Social Transformation and holds a Master of Arts degree in Corporation and Human Resources Management from Madison International Institute & Business school, a degree in Development Education Studies from Kimmage Development Studies Centre of Manor Dublin Ireland, and a Diploma in Pedagogical Studies from Groupe Scolaire Notre Dame de Lourde. Elizabeth O. Bernard-Sowho is a Social Service Provider, a Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and a Women’s Rights Activist. She joined the Center for 21st Century Issues (C21st) as a Programme Manager in charge of women and the girl child desk for 4 years and was a consultant with PATH2, a programme for improving and reducing maternal – and child mortality rates in Lagos. Elizabeth founded the Transformation and Development Centre in 2014, networking with other organisations to provide improved health services and education for mother and child and the girl child in rural communities and mentoring for teens, especially the girl child. Elizabeth is a TFT Youth Training Facilitator She is a graduate of Kaduwa Polytechnic, Chicago College of Commerce, and completed an executive masterclass in Business Sustainability.

Eseoghene Ajuyah is pursuing her passion for helping women find emotional health and wellness in every sphere of their lives as a Counsellor and Wellness Coach. She is a qualified Counsellor with a first Degree in Public Administration, and a certificate in Counseling and Emotional Management. She has worked for close to two decades with women and girls who experience sexual and gender-based violence in both private and public life. In her work as a Women’s Rights Activist, she has facilitated trainings, and joined networks to push for equality and equity for women and girls at all levels. Olutosin Adebowale is the Founder of Star of Hope Transformation Centre, an organization that trains abused women in skills acquisition. She is also the Founder of Tosin Turns trash to Treasure, where scraps of fabrics are used to create Artwork amongst other things. She found Otun Food Bank and the Free Farm for females. In 2021, she founded Sisters City in Owo, a free accommodation and skill acquisition center where women learn various skills for free. She is an Author, Citizen Journalist, and former Correspondent at World Pulse. Olutosin is also a Facilitator for TFT Youth Trainings and Diploma Courses (2020-2022).

Rachael Bamise Morenike is a Pastor at Christ Apostolic Church Promised Land Ibasa in Lagos Nigeria where one of her focus areas is to create awareness of sexual abuse among young girls. She is also a Lecturer at the River of Life Theological Seminary and lectures part-time at Pentecostal Restoration Bible Institution. Racheal trains girls and women from Trash to Treasure upcycling used materials to create products that are sold for income generation. In addition, she is a Facilitator for TFT Youth Trainings and Diploma Courses (2020-2022). She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion, a postgraduate Diploma in the Old Testament, and a Master of Arts Degree in Theology.

Beji Benjamin Jibe is the Programmes Coordinator / Child Safeguarding Officer of SELL Nigeria. He has over 15 years of experience in facilitating Peace-building programmes in Nigeria and Ghana. He is an Alternative to Violence Project (AVP) Facilitator, Gender Equality Advocate, and Lay Counsellor, and recently has been facilitating Child Safeguarding Training in the North-Eastern States of Nigeria and Plateau State. Beji has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the National Open University of Nigeria, a Diploma in Law from the University of Jos, and a Diploma from TFT (2014-2015). He is a Board member of TFT in Practice TFT NPC and a Facilitator with the Nigeria country team for the Youth Training (2020-2022).

Asjad Alnoo has over 8 years of experience in Development and Human Rights work. She worked with the Regional Center for Training and Development of Civil Society (RCDCS), Khartoum for 5 years in several capacities: Programme Officer, Programme Assistant, and Community Volunteer. She was a Consultant for the Sudan Social Development Organization, and she is a Youth Activist who played a coordination role for different Neighborhood Committees. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Science in Agriculture (University of Khartoum), Master’s in Gender, Development, and Peace Studies (Ahfad University), and she has a Diploma in Development Planning (University of Khartoum). Currently, she is a Programmes Coordinator at the African Center for Justice and Peace Studies ACJPS.

Jumana Eltigani is a Social Justice Advocate. She completed the TFT Diploma Course (2014-2015) where she grew spiritually, enriched her knowledge in Transformative Development, and gained tools on how to engage with communities. Jumana worked for several civil society organizations and international organizations in Sudan. She is a Facilitator for TFT where she engages with people from diverse countries and backgrounds. Jumana is passionate about achieving gender equality and practicing self-care. She enjoys music, doing yoga, and connecting with people. She shared a tool for Self-discovery and Personal Development, in the Training for Transformation Manual V.

Maria Latumahina is a TFT graduate from West Papua. She has dedicated her work to strengthening the community leadership of the indigenous people of Papua. She is working with women and youth to support the process of revitalizing collective identity among those whose institutions have been dismantled by socio-economic and political injustices. After almost ten years, she and her friends managed to realize their dream of setting up Papua TFT in 2019. TFT Papua is growing the movement of community and NGO activists across the region. Maria is a Facilitator and Translator for TFT Youth Trainings and Diploma Courses (2020-2022).
Western Papua, Indonesia

Miskin Gombo is from Papua, Indonesia. She advocates for the empowerment of Papuans and is a Community Facilitator for TFT Papua, organizing activities that help communities to be self-sustainable through working and producing together and selling and exporting their produce. She graduated from Madang Teachers College in Papua, New Guinea, and has extensive teaching experience. Along with other volunteers, Miskin joined a community school where children learn basic life skills including basic Bahasa — an indigenous language. She later started another village school with volunteers, using the skills she had learned from her previous teaching experience. Miskin is a TFT Youth Training Facilitator with the Papuan country team (2020-2021).

Wahyudin Nur comes from South Sulawesi, Indonesia. He is a Facilitator for the TFT Youth Trainings (2020-2022). As a Community Development Worker, his areas of interest include Community Organising, Culture and Conflict Transformation, and Environmental Protection. He is a member of the SatuKata Institute Association, a Research organisation, based in Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. As an Empowerment Consultant he has worked on Research, Training and organizing community groups in the mountains of Papua, communities on the coast of islands in Papua and Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. He completed his studies in Yogyakarta, Central Java, State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta at the Faculty of Usuluddin (2000). After having graduated from TFT, Wahyudin re-joined the TFT Diploma course as participant in 2022, where he experienced a combination of learned and new concepts in both English and Bahasa.

Shashikant N. Parmar is an Advocate by profession, a Social Activist by passion, and a Radical Feminist. He believes and strives that Law can be the Instrument of Change. As a seeker of truth, he is a defender of the poor, marginalized, and oppressed. He strives for justice so that peace and harmony are established in society. He is also a trainer in socio-legal issues for women, and elders and facilitates Personality Development programmes for Youth with Innovative Educational Programs. Shashikant is also a Socio-legal Counsellor in matters of Matrimonial, Social Justice, and Community issues. A vociferous reader, he keeps himself updated and attends workshops, seminars, and training programmes of social and legal importance. He has participated in a National Workshop on Public Interest, Protection in IPR Law and Practice, Awareness Generation on Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005, and a Workshop on Child Development..

Sunil Gangavane is a senior facilitator and development professional with rich experience in working with grassroots organizations and marginalized communities. Specializing in youth development, gender and sexuality, and participatory action research, Sunil actively contributes to International NGOs as a consultant, fostering connections and directing resources to grassroots initiatives. He has mentored several youth-led participatory action research projects, empowering girls, Dalit individuals, and LGBT+ youth. Sunil has published research in national and international publications as a means of advocating for the voices of marginalized communities. As an International Facilitator based in India, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, playing a vital role in TFT and contributing as a facilitator and core team member for the TFT Youth Training and TFT Diploma Courses.

Daniel Glass is an Aids Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) Healthcare Human Rights activist, Performer, and Writer. Recognised as Attitude Magazine’s ‘campaigning role models for LGBTQI youth’, a Guardian ‘UK youth climate leader’, 2017 ‘Activist of the Year’ with the ‘Sexual Freedom Awards’ and announced a ‘BBC Greater Londoner’ in 2019 for founding ‘Queer Tours of London – A Mince Through Time. Dan is a TFT Educator who recently presented ‘Censoring Palestine: The Weaponisation of AntiSemitism and the Coronavirus cabaret: the online show combating social isolation’. He wrote ‘United Queerdom: From the Legends of the Gay Liberation Front to the Queers of Tomorrow’ and founded Bender Defenders & Queer Night Pride to confront rising hate crime. Dan is a Facilitator of TFT Youth Trainings (2020).
