South Africa
Carmen Opperman is an experienced TFT facilitator who has conducted several trainings, particularly in South Africa. She has been serving as the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with TFT in Practice for the past five years. Carmen has also been engaged in community development activism for quite some time now. She has worked with two Child Protection organizations, where she has organized and facilitated various projects, programs, and training sessions for people of all ages, ranging from pre-school children to the elderly. Carmen holds a BDiac degree in Community Development and a Diploma in Development Education.
Rwanda
Chrisserie Niyonsenga is a Programme Officer for Sustainable Community Development at The Association pour le Développement et la Transformation Sociale (ADTS) in Rwanda. She has extensive experience in adult training and facilitation and has created various training tools, manuals, and modules. She holds a Master’s degree in Corporate and Human Resources Management, a BA in Development Education, and a Diploma in Pedagogical Studies and Development Education.
United Kingdom
Daniel Glass is an Aids Coalition to Unleash Power Healthcare Human Rights activist, Performer, and Writer. Recognized as Attitude Magazine’s ‘campaigning role models for LGBTQI youth’, a Guardian ‘UK youth climate leader’, 2017 ‘Activist of the Year’ with the ‘Sexual Freedom Awards’ and announced a ‘BBC Greater Londoner’ for founding ‘Queer Tours of London – A Mince Through Time. He published ‘United Queerdom: From the Legends of the Gay Liberation Front to the Queers of Tomorrow’. Dan holds a Diploma in Development Education.
Zimbabwe
David Kaulemu (PhD) has over 30 years of experience in development education, social justice, Christian social thought, and academic teaching and is the TFT in Practice Academic Moderator. He is currently the Dean of the School of Education and Leadership and the Director of the Center for Ethics at Arrupe Jesuit University in Zimbabwe, where he teaches social, economic, and environmental philosophy. Dr Kaulemu books include Ending Violence in Zimbabwe (2011), and he is editor of Zimbabwe @40: Development, Democracy and Transformation (2021).

Ines Neto-Ginoca is the CEO of TFT in Practice, with more than 15 years of experience in development work and 10 years in development facilitation throughout Africa, including South Africa, Zimbabwe, Angola, Mozambique, Tanzania, and globally in virtual trainings. Ginoca is a member of the International Grail Movement and holds a Master’s degree in Publishing, with experience in coordinating TFT publications such as TFT Manuals in Portuguese, Arabic, Kiswahili, among others. She has a Diploma in Development Education, and a BA in Social and Cultural Communication.
Uganda
Josephine Kasande is an advocate for Women’s Rights, Natural Resources and Livelihood, and Gender programming and Practice with over 15 years of experience as a Trainer, Coach, and Mentor. As a Trainer, her practice is grounded in feminist thinking and ideologies of Gender Equality and Natural Resource Management and she holds a Master’s degree from Kimmage Development Studies Centre, Ireland, and a Diploma in Development Education.

Lindiwe Mthembu-Salter is a Family Constellations facilitator and a counselor who incorporates Systemic African Constellations embracing the richness of African indigenous healing modalities. Her therapeutic approaches include guided change to free up our energy resources and mindfulness practices that influence physical, mental, and spiritual states. Lindiwe works with groups of home-based caregivers and diverse women’s projects. Lindiwe has a BA in Humanistic Integrative Counseling and Integrative Healing Guide, and BA in Medical anthropology.
Mozambique
Naftal Guambe is a senior trainer, a Pastor of the United Methodist Church, and the co-founder of the Anti-Drug Students Association Spark. Naftal has co-facilitated TFT Diploma, Certificate, and Introduction courses in African countries part of the team establishing TFT regional and country teams as local hubs. He co-created tools such as Critical Reading of State Budget and Powerful Gender Objects, published in the Training for Transformation Manual 5. Naftal holds a BA in Theology and a Diploma in Development Education.
Zimbabwe
Ntombi Nyathi has more than 30 years of experience in development, training, research, and facilitation. She is the former TFT Director from the Grail Centre Trust and now TFT in Practice Strategic Networking and Resource Mobilization Officer. Ntombi is a key person in mentoring, coaching, and co-facilitating. She is a member of the International Grail Movement and founded the Africa Book Development Organisation in Zimbabwe. Ntombi holds a Master’s degree in Development Education from Kimmage Development Studies Centre, Ireland, a BA in Political Economy, and a Diploma in Development Education.
Southern Nigeria
Olutosin Adebowale is the Founder of Star of Hope Transformation Centre, a Founder of Tosin Turns Trash to Treasure and Otun Food Bank, and the Free Farm for females in Nigeria. In 2021, she founded Sisters City in Owo, a free accommodation and skill acquisition center where women learn various skills for free. She is an Author, Citizen Journalist, and former Correspondent at World Pulse. She studied Social Entrepreneurship in Sweden, holds a BA in Education and English, and a Diploma in Development Education.
Uganda
Rita Atukwasa is a member of the Parliament of Uganda. She is also a public policy analyst, gender specialist, and trainer for gender and equity budgeting. Previously, she served as the executive director at the Institute for Social Transformation (IST). Hon. Rita has a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Governance, a BA in Social Administration and Political Science, and a Diploma in Development Education.

Sibongile Mtungwa is the director of the Women’s Leadership and Training Programme in South Africa and serves as the Board Chairperson of TFT in Practice. She has extensive experience in community development with the Freirean approach, and her work mainly involves young women between the ages of 12 and 19 in rural areas. Sibongile is also an environmental activist and a member of the International Grail Movement. She is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Development, focusing on partnerships and sustainable ways of advancing girls’ health, education, and identity as part of their human rights. Additionally, Sibongile holds a Diploma in Development Education.
South Africa
Shula Mafokoane is a Senior Project Officer at Nkuzi Development Association, a land rights organization working throughout the Limpopo province. Her primary focus is on women’s land rights, post-settlement support, and land acquisition. She is a skilled development practitioner in project management, training and facilitation, monitoring and evaluation, and sub-grants management with over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector. With extensive experience in facilitating Training for Transformation courses, Shula is also a Board member of TFT in Practice. Shula holds a BA Degree in Social Sciences and a Diploma in Development Education.
India
Sunil Gangavane is a senior facilitator who has worked extensively with grassroots organizations and marginalized communities. He specializes in empowering youth, particularly those from Dalit backgrounds, girls, and LGBT+ individuals, on gender and sexuality issues, as well as participatory action research. Sunil has published his research in several national and international publications, including “Youth & India’s Sustainable Development Goals (2021) ICT, youth, and marginalization”. He holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology and a Diploma in Development Education.

Zunaid Moolla is a political economist with 25 years of experience in the field and more than 10 years of development facilitation. An independent consultant specializing in economic literacy and alternative economic systems providing popular education sessions in economics; stimulating thinking about alternative economic systems including banking, currencies, measuring well-being, income distribution, and growth and development. Zunaid is the founder of Bayette Development Consultants and holds a Master’s degree in Political Economy and a BA in Political Sciences.
